VEHICLES

Your Companion

About the kei-campervan as a vehicle. About what AGITO cares about. And the backstory of our two vehicles. Everything, before you book.

Choosing a kei-campervan.

Cramped. Not fast. Can't carry a crowd. — That's the kei-campervan for you.

In return: on a regular license, at a familiar road width, anywhere. It fits in a convenience-store parking lot, threads through Kyoto's narrow streets, and goes on down the roads where bigger campers give up.

Not a trip where you book a hotel, nor one where a big camper is more than you need — just a trip with two people, some gear, and the quiet of the night. If that's enough, the kei-campervan is the most nimble companion there is.

What we carry, and what we leave out.

We got rid of "it's probably in there."

We deliberately leave out the refrigerator. Only a small one fits in a kei-campervan. Rather than devote space to half-hearted cooling, we chose a trip where you taste the fresh ingredients you meet on the road that same day. We leave out the microwave for the same reason. With a single stove, you can warm things up and make a dish.

Fire, ready the moment you arrive.

A cassette stove comes standard in every vehicle. The gas that other companies often sell separately is included from the start at AGITO. Boil water, cook a dish — right where you've arrived. The only things to buy are your gear for time spent outdoors.

Saying no is part of the equipment, too.

AGITO's cabins are pet-free and entirely non-smoking. No smell or fur from whoever rode before you gets carried in. We protect a cabin where you can spend the night in plain, clean air, free of allergy worries — and we count that as one of the amenities.

Standard in every vehicle. No extra charges.

Two vehicles, two origins.

MorningOne Camper Wide

新相武

MorningOne Camper Wide

A design that doesn't try to show off.

Base vehicle: Suzuki Carry

Seats 4 / sleeps 2

2 in the fleet

The MorningOne is a kei-campervan designed from the ground up by a car dealer. Not eye-catching ornament, but the fit and usability worked out through the eyes of someone who handles cars every day. The interior is simple and clean. With nothing excess, there's room left for your gear and your time.

Why AGITO chose it

With the eye of a business that has traded in cars, we valued how solidly it's built. Showy equipment rattles as the years pass. Sound underlying design never lets you down. For a companion we lend out for the long haul, we chose the dependable one.

JP STAR Happy1+

JP STAR

JP STAR Happy1+

The spark that lit the kei-camper boom.

Base vehicle: Daihatsu Hijet Truck

Seats 4 / sleeps 2

1 in the fleet

The Happy1+ is the spark that spread the kei-campervan genre to the world. Instantly recognizable colors and a rounded shape. A vehicle that makes people turn for a second look at the roadside station.

Why AGITO chose it

A look that doesn't run with the pack, and the popularity that backs it up. We welcomed this trailblazer of the whole category as our Kyoto companion.
